Krnov is an Upper Silesian town situated in the Bruntál district in the Moravian-Silesian Region, 22 km northwest of Opava and 18 km northeast of Bruntál, in the foothills of the Low Jeseník Mountains.
It lies at the confluence of the Opava and Opavice rivers, close to the border with Poland.
By car
Arrival from Bruntál (I/11, connection to I/45 and D1) - after entering the town, cross the railway viaduct and continue along Revoluční Street to the roundabout. Go straight ahead (direction Opava) and after 180 m turn right. After the bridge turn right again and you will come to the cinema building.
Arrival from Opava (I/57, direction Ostrava, Slovakia) - after entering the town you pass the roundabout (straight ahead, direction Bruntál) and after 380 m turn left. After the bridge turn right and you will come to the cinema building.
By train
From the Krnov station (main railway station) go slightly right towards Revoluční Street. After the Albert hypermarket, turn right towards the bridge over the Opava River. After the bridge (Svatováclavská Street) turn right again towards the cinema building (the road will be marked with direction signs). Total distance 1.6 km.
From Krnov-Cvilín station go straight along Hlubčická Street to the crossroads, continue straight along Svatého Ducha Street to the square. Go around the town hall with the savings bank on your left and continue straight ahead. You will pass the department store building on your right and the Krnov castle on your left. After the castle grounds, turn left and follow the pavement to a crossroads with a crosswalk. Continue straight across the bridge and turn right after it to the cinema building. The total distance is 1.5 km.
By bus
After arriving at the bus station in Krnov, continue through the parking lot of the Albert hypermarket to the sidewalk leading around the river. You will pass the U jezu restaurant building and cross the bridge over the Opava River. After the bridge, turn right towards the cinema building. The total distance is about 500 m.
